RE: 2010 Accomplishments

 

 

2010 is a very exciting year for USHHRA!  Below you will find our 2010 goals and initiatives.  With your support we feel confident we can accomplish our goals and increase USHHRA’s beneficial impact as the only Healthcare Human Resources association in Utah.

 

Membership

 

Over the past several years USHHRA has seen steady growth, 10 to 30 percent, with our membership.  In 2009 USHHRA’s membership was 18.  Last fall, USHHRA’s leadership set a tough goal of increasing our membership by 50 percent.  With the help of each one of you, our membership drive thus far has proved very successful, making us confident we will reach our goal.  Your involvement in spreading the word about USHHRA and presenting the benefits it brings will allow us to reach our stretch goals over the next several years.  Please continue to educate your colleagues about our state chapter as well as the national organization.

 

Membership increased by a total of 122% from 2009 to 2010.

 

Leadership and Board Openings

 

USHHRA is committed to filling the two vacancies in Chapter Leadership, Treasurer and Secretary.  In addition, USHHRA will focus on electing two new Board of Directors. 

 

Both the Secretary and Treasurer vacancies have been filled.

 

Educational Meetings

 

Another critical 2010 goal is to provide USHHRA members with several educational meetings to learn and expand their Healthcare HR knowledge.  These opportunities serve to help us become more engaged and informed HR professionals.  Another focus is to allow each of us an opportunity to network one with another, share experiences, and ultimately learn together as we face challenges and obstacles in the future. We will measure our success by the response we receive and numbers that attend. 

 

The Society offered several opportunities during 2010:

·         Spring Business Luncheon—May 2010

·         Several Survey Opportunities

·         Educational Updates via Email

·         Two Webinars—July and August

·         Fall Business Luncheon—September 2010

·         HRCI Credit at the Fall Business Luncheon

 

Associate Membership

 

During 2010 we are targeting different associate members or sponsors to help contribute resources for our education meetings.  This affiliation is beneficial for the associate as well for USHHRA.  Our goal this year is to procure two associates that can partner well with USHHRA on efforts moving forward.

 

Thank you for your membership with USHHRA.  As you can see, we’re on a journey to create a more engaged chapter to meet your needs.

 

The Society has secured one and possibly two associate sponsors for 2011; LexisNexis Screening Solutions and Sibson Consulting.

 

Chapter Management Award

 

During 2010 USHHRA will commit to achieve a “One Star” chapter management award from ASHHRA.  This award entails providing excellent services to its members in educational opportunities, networking, finances, and on. 

 

Submission and award will be completed in 2011.
