USHHRA has a long history both in the State of Utah and its affiliation with ASHHRA. Originally organized in the late 1970's, USHHRA had a small, but strong chapter. In the 80's and 90's the chapter began to grow and was very active. USHHRA put together great meetings, social events, and held several fundraising events. In fact, USHHRA was so successful with their fundraising that they were the recipients of the ASHHRA Chapter Achievement Award for several years throughout the 80's and 90's.
It was 1991 when ASHHRA made the decision to host a national conference for its members. Because of the strength of USHHRA and the strong affiliation with ASHHRA, USHHRA was selected to host the first ever annual ASHHRA conference. USHHRA members worked very hard to host and put together a wonderful conference. USHHRA members have always had a strong commitment to their personal growth and the growth of others in the profession.
Today, USHHRA has undergone many changes. The society has now developed a Board of Directors to oversee the affairs of the Society. A new team of officers has been elected and is eager to serve the members of USHHRA. There are still many changes to come forth that will enhance the value of your membership with USHHRA.
